The true oddity of the patio heater market the Soleus Indoor/Outdoor Electric Patio Heater is the only plug-in patio heater and as our lowest-powered full-size heater the only one that"s safe to use indoors. It covers roughly 30 sq. ft. with 5 118 BTU/hr. output and features a stainless steel base and an easily disassembled pole. Nice looking. Great for some one who doesn't want propane heater. Doesn't have a very big heating diameter. Needs to be a foot shorter would help with heating problems. Needs to have a more powerful heating coil. Good in 60 degree weather. With light breeze it will keep you warm. But in 40's it will just barely knock the chill off. I would have went higher end if I would have known what I know now. My advise pass and spend a little more money. And buy a better higher power higher quality heater. Unnless u have an enclosed windless space.

i have been so dissapointed in this product, i wonder if it is defective, it throws no heat and the only warmth is when you stand directly under it. i am a retired widow and have to make choices carefully [...] i had hoped to enjoy my gazebo, where i met my late husband, until the cold set in and beyond. very dissapointed.

I do not recommend buying this product. It was inexpensive and it shows -- low quality! I won't make this mistake again. Do not buy the Soleus electric patio heater!
